The Affen Tzu is a fun, intelligent breed to own. The Affen Tzu is, in fact, not a purebred dog. It is actually a cross between the Affenpinscher and the Shih Tzu. But these dogs are can be easily trained and this guide will get you into the right mindset that you need to train your dog.

Respect and assurance are the two initial fundamentals to any animal training plan. Setting this basis is particularly significant when training a dog. As societal pack animals, dogs have a inborn need to respect a solid leader.

In a dog’s world, if you are the leader, then he will logically understand what you command him to do. Without respect and self-assurance you will not accomplish much success when schooling your dog. Faith and respect are not things that can be pushed, they must be earned through affirmative communication with your four legged pal. When your Affen Tzu really trusts you, he understands that his duty is to follow your guidance, and he will want to do it as you would expect.

It is essential to recognize that first comes respect, then comes friendliness. While it is of course delightful to shower your new dog or puppy with love and care, it is also crucial to gain its assurance and loyalty. How to Train a Affen Spaniel Puppy – Use the Right Mindset When Training Your Affen Spaniel

Article by Rebecca Witson

The Affen Spaniel is a cross between the Affenpinscher and the Cocker Spaniel, making them an intelligent breed to train, and I want this article to help you get into the right mindset before you begin!

Until an animal gives you his admiration and assurance, you won’t be able to enjoy any progress with your instruction efforts. Setting this groundwork is extremely important when schooling a dog. Dogs are very collective and in nature respect a authoritarian guide.

By establishing yourself as the pack leader your Affen Spaniel will follow you for direction and admiration. If you try to pass over this step, it will be nearly hopeless to train your dog. As you interact with your dog as the alpha in your pack, he will effortlessly give you the respect and trust that you deserve. When your dog really respects you, he understands that his duty is to abide by your guidance, and he will choose to do it naturally.

All too often, new dog owners do not appreciate that while love is important, it should not take the place of loyalty. While a new puppy just begs to be held, make sure that you do not offer love to your puppy at an unacceptable time. While a puppy is an high-spirited force with which to be reckoned, it is valuable to set up some rules early to pick up agreeable behavior. You do not do your Affen Spaniel any good when you indulge him as a puppy and then demand him to defer to you when you are all set to start training him.By drawing clear boundaries and expecting a dog to follow them, you allow him to behave just as he logically would in a group. In a natural setting each dog has his place in the pack, and he knows what his job is.

How do I potty/house train my senior female American Cocker Spaniel?

Question by Erick: How do I potty/house train my senior female American Cocker Spaniel?
My dog like to only pee/poo anywhere inside my house & not do business outside the backyard grass. The other con is that my dog prefers to be inside my house instead of been outdoors. How can I train my dog to tell me it wants to pee/poo & to let it out. Or how can I train my spaniel to potty outside the house by itself?

Best answer:

Answer by Krystal
I think that crate training this dog would probably be your best option. Dogs will not naturally pee/poo in the place that they sleep and lay. Crate the dog at night and maybe through the day while you are gone to work and such. Try not to leave him in there for to many hours at a time at first. When you are putting him in the crate give him a small treat every time for incentive. When you are home take the dog out every hour at the least and use a trigger word or phrase that he can get used to such as “go pee-pee” (what I tell my little poodle). As time goes on maybe he can stay out of the crate through the night and still be able to be near you and able to sleep where he likes. Worked for me….Good Luck !!
