Which is the best akita inu coat color?

Question by Rayne: Which is the best akita inu coat color?
I am considering buying an akita inu in a few years and I wanted to know which one looks best. I personally like all of the colors. I don’t like white as much as the others. I think I like silver brindle the most but chances are slim to none that I’d get one. I’ve seen some gorgeous red brindles and some ugly ones too. I might prefer brindle over the other colors if I got an ugly dog I’d still love him to death.

Please don’t mention any american akita colors. Akita inu’s come in white, sesame, red, and brindle. They don’t have any black on them whatsoever. I will most likely have to import him so I’m taking my time in deciding.

We had a solid white one years ago and he was gorgeous. I love the brindle coloration of any breed so I would try to find a brindle.

Nothing but the Best Sled Dog Training

Article by Andy Ayres

Alaskan Malamute, Alaskan Husky, Canadian Eskimo Dog, American Eskimo Dog, Eurohound, Chinook, Labrador Husky, Eurohound, Greenland Dog, Northern Inuit Dog, Mackenzie River Husky, Sakhalin Dog, Seppala Siberian Sleddod, Siberian Husky, Samoyed, and Tamaskan Dog– these are some of the few breeds for sled dogs. Gone are the days when skijng is concentrated only at Alaska and Scandinavia because these days, it is continuously spreading all over the whole of the world. Why shouldn’t it be when all traveling companies would feature skijoring as one of their main attractions? This leads to dog enthusiast to realize that their dogs should get the proper sled dog training, so they could take part in the activity. The training will also create a bond between dogs and the musher.

Comparable to athletes, dogs should also be subjected to rigorous preparation to get ready for the arduous race. Watching the race even on the small screen will allow someone to take pride by the endurance, insistence cooperation, and commitment of the whole team. This is something that highly differs from other sports like flyball for instance because it involves a high amount of will-power by a group that should work hand in hand.

Among the most interesting goal of this type of dog training is to foster the innate instincts in every dog as to make sledding a worthwhile experience rather than a burdensome task. Like human, a dog that enjoys what he is doing will be most likely to excel in such a field. Generally speaking, the training will start on the time when the dogs are still young. Although it is not universally accepted, sometimes the saying that ‘old dogs could not learn new trick’ is true, even if there are still exemption to this. After then, the musher will strap up the puppy by a bind which is connected to small objects just for the puppy to be acquainted with the feeling. Moreover, running with the puppy while at the same time doing the start and stop command will work as a good foundation for the dog since this equip them with the proper awareness of how it feels to compete as a team during the actual event. During this stage, the dog may not even realize that he is being trained since most of them will feel that they are merely up for fun which aids in fostering a genuine love for the sport. Subsequently, after doing the previous step, the puppy is already seasoned to learn about teamwork. During this phase, the training is typically kept quite short without exposing to intense workout to stir the emotion of excitement for them to be eager to carry out the process further.

Sled dog training companies are available everywhere, but it takes someone with bountiful commitment and love for the sport to emerge as a good trainer. A lot would boast that they have the best background on how to train these creatures but without genuine love for dogs, the training will be nothing but useless. Dogs are thin-skinned, they sense when they are loved, and they are merely used.

Preserving Your Best Friend’s Health

Article by Alexander

Someone once said “, the moment you are born you start to die.” While this is a rather morbid view of existence, this saying does have a ring of truth to it. People are always confronting health problems thanks to accidents, illnesses, and natural conditions. Dogs are no different from their masters in this regard. Like humans, all breeds of dogs suffer from maladies that are specific to them. For example, miniature Dachshunds often suffer from back problems, related to continuous jumping, while larger dogs such as Great Danes, and mastiffs suffer from hip and leg problems, which are related to their heavy weights, sizes, and active lifestyles. Just as medical doctors have created a variety of medications, procedures, and prosthesis, veterinarians have also developed similar procedures, medications, and prosthetics, which are helpful in preserving a dog’s longevity. However, these treatments can be rather costly and painful for the canine as well.

Manufacturers have devised an effective and affordable way to keep an old dog comfortable in its later life, and this same device will also safeguard younger dogs from succumbing to the wear-and-tear of daily life’s stressful activities. Many companies that specialize in the design and production of pet-care products have begun to market dog beds at competitive prices. These pieces of dog-furniture include sofas, chairs, and memory foam dog beds. These particular types of dog beds work on the same premise as a memory foam mattress, which has made its way into many homes throughout the world. Like the mattress and pillows that man uses every night, memory foam beds for dgos, fit to each dog’s specific physical contours allowing for a comfortable relaxing night of sleep. Furthermore, these beds also cushion the dog’s spine and joints greatly improving your canine’s longevity and joint health.

While it is not possible to build a bed, which is designed to accommodate all sizes of dog, these products come in a variety of sizes. There are small ones, which work best for Pugs, Dachshunds, Terriers, and other small breeds, while large dog beds such as Pit Bulls, Dogo Argentinos, and Akita Inu also are available for purchase. On another note, the purchase of a dog bed will also allow you and your dog to share space adequately. This will stop the continuous disagreements over who gets the couch or bed on the weekends. This will also teach your best friend what your best friend what the boundaries in the home are in the home.

Science Diet is definately one of the worst dog foods out there, not to mention expensive.

I would reccommend Innova, EVO, Orijen, Solid Gold, Eagle Pack, Fromm, Artemis, Canidae, California Naturals, Chicken Soup, Evangers, Go Natural, Merrick, Natures Logic, Natures Variety, Show Bound Naturals, Timberwolf Organics, Solid Gold or Wellness. None of these have been recalled.

Kelpie – a woman’s best friend

www.suthenskys-kelpies.com These gorgeous Kelpies are from a friend of ours, she breeds the most beautiful dogs. They have the most beautiful natures and are always winning on the show circuit. These Kelpies are show Kelpies so are definetely not as energetic as a working Kelpie. You would still need to walk a Kelpie and spend time with it, like any other dog breed. I would highly recommend a Kelpie, we have had our dog Storm now for about 3.5 years and she is an excellent companion dog as well as great with kids. Kelpies have excelled in the areas of obedience, agility and tracking. They have participated in pet therapy programs and have even been utilised as fully trained Guide Dogs. The finest characteristic of the Kelpie, however, is its irresistible personality. The breed is extremely alert, eager and highly intelligent, with a mild, tractable disposition. These dogs show marked loyalty and real devotion to duty. Although bred primarily for working sheep, the ‘show bred’ Australian Kelpie has proven itself to be a very adaptable and versatile dog.
